Group Blog (Music Video)

 I was originally going to work on this music video with three other people from my AS Aice Media class. But I didn't get the rest my teammates names when we decided to work together. Our group was going to consist of 4 people: Me and 3 other people. I decided I wanted to want to work with a group to split up the work and make it easier for us to finish the assignment. But in the end, I forgot to ask them for their names and start discussing what song we wanted to work on. 

I then decided to work alone on this assignment, because I still didn't have a song in mind for our video from my previous group. Also with my previous group we never discussed everyones' names. I would try to continue working with them on figuring out what song to choose, along with finding out what each member's name from our group was, but the due date was close so I decided that working by myself would benifit me more. Also working by myself might be a bit more stressful later on when storyboarding and actually recording and editing the project. But, if I can get this group blog submitted today I can move on compared to if I were to wait till I see my teammates to ask them for their names and what song they would like to work on.

The Name of the song I think I might be sticking with for now is called "Gotta Catch them all". This song I chose is from Pokémon, specifically the First Pokémon Tv show. This song was made for the American audience of the first Pokemon Tv show, and would be Edited to be used later on in Pokemon X and Y/X,Y, and Z. I don't think I'll be changing my mind on this song anytime soon. I think I have a good Idea for what the storyboard is going to look like.

I chose this song because I grew up liking the Pokemon Genre of games, Tv shows and merchandise. Also , I chose this song because I like to sing along with the lyrics. I also chose this song because It sings about wanting to be the very best, like no one ever was. This song is supposed to show Ash wanting to be the best Pokemon trainer, and showing that he will go through many adventures to achieve that goal. Similar to that I would want my story in my music video to follow the same aspect in a similar way but something maybe different to catching Pokemon.

Filming Blog: first Recording session

 I decided to start recording some scenes after I got off from work, which was at night. I chose night time to record because I thought it fit better with the genre of my film. After work once I got home, I started to prepare to record by getting my costume and props ready. I dressed In an orange shirt and blue jeans for the main character I would be portraying for the first few scenes. The prop that I used was a flashlight because of most of the scenes happening at night.  On the night of Saturday, feb 10 I got my mom to help me set up for filming. I got my clothes and my prop ready to record, but some problems arose when filming. Me and my mom had a little bit of communication issues. For example, when she was filming me,  and I asked her to film an over the shoulder shot and when we filmed it it didn't look right the first time. Planningfor my music video(Music video)

 The song that I'm using is called: "Gotta Catch them all" by Jason Paige Props I might use might be a pokeball, along with some plushies or my dogs to represent pokemon. Along with binoculars. My costume will include a gray hoodie, grey shirt, Black gloves, Blue jeans, Black shoes or Blue shoes, A white or Navy Hat. My schedule for recording might consist of some days from Oct 15-25 and Preparation for this will probably happen before Oct 15. Editing might happen on days close to Nov 1. The location of the Video will consist of Areas near/close to my house or in my house.  The Backup plan for if anything goes wrong- 1. Don't panic, 2. Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

 I am researching this website because it has many different choices for opening sequences to research for good titles. This website is also good to research video games and tv shows. This website also shows different creators of films on the website. It has a tab for studios that create these films as well that lists them from A-z in alphabetical order. There is also a search tab on the top of the website to help users find what they're searching for.  This website also shows student projects, for example the dark knight rises, Sirens of titan and Motherless Brooklyn. This website also shows feature film titles like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. some exaples of video games on this website include:Gods of war and killzone. Overall this website has a lot of options for me to go through when looking for title examples. There should be plenty of examples to choose from for this title research and base my opening sequence off of.
